Permaculture Cities Exist.

Are there Permaculture cities?

Permaculture is a design approach that seeks to create sustainable and self-sufficient systems that work in harmony with nature. While there are no cities that can be classified as completely permaculture-based, there are cities that have implemented permaculture principles in their urban planning and design.

For example, Melbourne, Australia, has a strong permaculture community, and the city has implemented permaculture principles in urban agriculture, waste management, and green spaces. Similarly, Seattle, Washington, has a strong focus on urban agriculture and has implemented permaculture principles in its urban planning and design.

Other cities, such as Portland, Oregon, and San Francisco, California, have also incorporated permaculture principles in their urban planning and design. While there is still much work to be done to create truly sustainable and self-sufficient cities, the incorporation of permaculture principles is a step in the right direction towards creating more resilient and sustainable communities.
